The short answer

What is CJC-1295 / Ipamorelin?

CJC-1295 / Ipamorelin is a two-peptide growth-hormone secretagogue blend. CJC-1295 is a GHRH analog reported to raise the baseline level of growth-hormone release (Teichman et al., 2006), and ipamorelin is a selective secretagogue characterised as triggering a growth-hormone pulse with minimal effect on cortisol or prolactin (Raun et al., 1998). The two are studied for the sleep-depth, recovery, and lean-mass endpoints tied to the growth-hormone axis, and they work by signalling the pituitary to release growth hormone rather than supplying it directly. No controlled human trial has measured the two in combination, so any figure for the blend, a per-day dose included, is extrapolated from each compound separately rather than measured. What ships here is a 10mg research vial plus a reference to the ranges published studies used, reported in units, not a dose for any person.

The Science

Two Peptides, One GH Pulse

Rather than supplying growth hormone directly, this blend signals the pituitary to release it. The two peptides act on different parts of the same system, which is why they are combined. For the protocols published studies actually ran, including why the DAC and non-DAC forms are not interchangeable, see what the research reports on CJC-1295 ipamorelin dosage.

CJC-1295 (GHRH analog)

Reported to raise the baseline amount of growth hormone the pituitary is primed to release (Teichman et al., 2006).

Ipamorelin (GH secretagogue)

Triggers a clean, selective GH pulse with minimal effect on cortisol or prolactin.

Pulsatile release

Together they mimic the natural, rhythmic way the body releases growth hormone during deep sleep.

Applications

Common Use Cases

Sleep Quality

Sleep depth is a studied endpoint for the growth-hormone axis, and the most commonly reported one.

Training Recovery

Recovery between training sessions is a studied endpoint for growth-hormone secretagogues.

Lean Mass & Recomp

Lean-mass retention and body-composition change are studied endpoints for this class.

Longevity Stacks

A common foundation in healthy-aging and recovery-focused protocols.

Dosage as studied

What dosage did research use for CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin?

The honest answer is that no controlled human trial has dosed the blend as a blend, so there is no measured per-day dose for the pair. What the literature contains is each half on its own. The published human work on CJC-1295 was a dose-escalation study in healthy adults, which reported the long-acting analog as safe and relatively well tolerated across the ascending doses it tested (Teichman et al., 2006). Ipamorelin's dose-response was first characterised in animals, where its selectivity and ED50 were established (Raun et al., 1998), and its pharmacokinetics were later modelled in human volunteers (Gobburu et al., 1999).

Any per-day dosage figure quoted for the combination is therefore extrapolation from those separate datasets, not a number a trial measured for the pair. Because the vial ships as 10mg of lyophilized powder, turning a studied range into an injectable volume is arithmetic on concentration: the volume of bacteriostatic water against the 10mg in the vial. The reconstitution calculator does that math and reports the result in units rather than mL, and the CJC-1295 ipamorelin dosage guide walks through why the DAC and non-DAC forms are not dosed the same way. A qualified clinician sets any personal dose.

With DAC or without

CJC-1295 with DAC vs without DAC: what changes?

The single biggest source of confusion with CJC-1295 is the DAC. DAC stands for Drug Affinity Complex, a small chemical group that lets the peptide bind circulating albumin. With it, the molecule persists far longer in the body; without it, CJC-1295 acts on roughly the same short timescale as the body's own GH-releasing hormone. That difference is why the two forms are not interchangeable and are not dosed the same way, and it is why most blends that pair CJC-1295 with ipamorelin use the non-DAC form (often written no-DAC, or modified GRF 1-29) so both peptides act on a similar, pulse-like timescale.

FormAlbumin bindingDuration of action as studiedGH release pattern reported
CJC-1295 with DACBinds albumin via the DAC groupLong-acting; a single dose raised GH and IGF-1 for days in healthy adults (Teichman et al., 2006)A sustained rise in baseline, with GH still released in pulses (Ionescu and Frohman, 2006)
CJC-1295 without DAC (mod GRF 1-29)No albumin-binding groupShort-acting, on the timescale of natural GHRHA briefer, sharper GH pulse, which is why it is paired with ipamorelin
IpamorelinNot applicableShort-acting; pharmacokinetics modelled in human volunteers (Gobburu et al., 1999)A selective GH pulse with minimal effect on cortisol or prolactin (Raun et al., 1998)

For how long each peptide persists, and why the DAC choice drives the timing, see what the research reports on CJC-1295 ipamorelin half-life. These are descriptions of what the studies measured, not a protocol for any individual.

Research Timeline

What the studies measured, and when

Research timeline

What the studies measured, and when

CJC-1295

Human ascending-dose work reported CJC-1295 as safe and relatively well tolerated with no serious adverse reactions in its dose-escalation study (Teichman et al., JCEM 2006, PMID 16352683).

Pulsatility

Albumin binding extends the half-life, and the reported effect is a raised baseline with growth-hormone release still occurring in pulses (Ionescu and Frohman, JCEM 2006, PMID 17018654).

Ipamorelin

Ipamorelin was characterised as a selective growth-hormone secretagogue, with its pharmacology and ED50 established in animal work (Raun et al., Eur J Endocrinol 1998, PMID 9849822).

The pair

No controlled human trial has measured the two together, so figures for the combination are extrapolated from each compound separately rather than measured.

heard a couple guys talking about them in a facebook group for lifters, mostly just shipping reliability stuff. checked out their site that night and the way they laid out batch numbers per order was honestly better than any other vendor i had tried over the last year

i had been putting off switching suppliers for longer than was reasonable and this order finally pushed me over the line. nothing about it was surprising in a bad way, which at this point is its own quiet win after years of small frustrations elsewhere

i honestly don't remember exactly how i found them, might have been a google search for third party peptide testing or maybe someone in a gym group chat. either way this is my second order and both times the vials arrived sealed tight with clear liquid and no damage to the box

the box arrived with clean edges and nothing shifted inside when i lifted it off the counter. most suppliers get the handling details wrong in small ways, and this one did not

the cold pack was still frozen when i cracked the box open which at this time of year feels like a small miracle. both vials centered seals clean labels readable batch numbers matched what the site shows for these two skus

third order from these guys. caps are tighter this time compared to last month, and the tray was a new design with a little ridge that keeps the vials from rolling. i sent the semax off to a reference lab up the street, came back at 99.2% assay, hplc. tracking was smooth, app updated every step. box was about two pounds, heavier than i guessed for three vials. all good.
